I used the loose stuff, and have had no problems or change in sound/tone to much.
Just remember you may need more than you think.

ok will get 800g of the lose standard stuff, the cans only 11inch long so shouldn't need to much, just need to get two exhaust bands now (if i think it needs them)

That should be plenty.
Dont write off the solid stuff, its just i couldn't find it anywhere near me and needed asap.

my can now has the solid stuf and its a PITA to get in the can because the can is oval not round (new one is oval as well)
did you use wire wool around the perforated tube ? my can now has it all around the perforated tube then the wadding wrapped over that

I didnt bother with the wire wool as i was expecting to take it pieces again not short after.
But lost minimal on the 1st few miles as it bedded in, and about 3/5k later still sounds pretty much the same as when it went on, but anything to help will be good.
What's exhaust packing then?

just reading around a bit and people say the problem with wire wool is it rusts, so not sure if i will use it or not

Fluffly looking stuff that goes in the end cans.
makes it sound nicer ect and lowers volume and tone i believe.

I must've lost a couple of horsepower and a bit of midrange when I fitted my stubby, but I'd happily do it again for that noise!:riding:
