Posting leathers

Hi all,

After an off last summer I ended up getting rid of the ol curvy Suzy due to finances. I have kept onto my Dainese leathers but now they're just taking up space and I'm trying to raise money for a summer tour of Europe on a man-powered 2 wheeler. I'm about to put them up on ebay (I'll post in the selling section too) but I'm not really sure how I'd send them.

Stick them in a box? I don't really know what to do

Hopefully someone has posted leathers here and can enlighten me :D

Yeah mate, just stick em in a box big enough, thats how a friend recieved his and thats hot i recieved my other textile jacket :)

Your biggest hassle will be the price of posting them. Royal Snail & Parcelfarce will charge you the earth to post them, which could put off buyers if you place a high delivery charge on your listing

I've used this service for ALL of my heavy and awkward parcels, wheels, bellypans, brake discs, paddock stands, etc

They collect from you door and everything is tracked and insure. With a 10kg allowance, it'll cost you about £8

A box will be fine as you won't have to worry about the extra weight.

I don't work for them. City Link couriers collect in my region, so a reputeably company

I sold mine for local pick up .... went straight away no hassles. I couldnt be bothered with posting.

I did the same with a TV and someone travelled to collect it.

Thanks everyone, will just use a cardboard box I think.

I have used parcelmonkey when I sold my paddock stand too, the only problem is you have to be in all day so it can get posted (don't have the novelty of a porch or anything decent in student accomodation but luckily my girlfriend stayed in whilst I was at uni). Royal Mail only charge £10 for 5-6kg which is fine, find it easier just to pop in and then job done
