View Full Version : Hello - Noobie -thought I had better introduce myself
Hello peeps
Have already posted but then noticed I could say Hello on here - so Hello :D
Just looking at getting a SV, not sure what sort yet though, just looking whats around.
err bit about me I suppose, been riding for nearly 2 years so still a newbie rider really, got an er5 which I am now selling to add to my bike fund. bit sad to see him go as I have had him since I passed and we have been all over together - work and back, playing out, camping, rallies, even IOM last year for 10 days.. but with 60,000 on the clock and being a 99 reg its about time he went and I got something a tad faster, sexier and newer with less mileage.
My daughter is an up and coming biker chick too and loves coming pilly with me, we live in West Yorkshire, oh and im a girl
Looking forward to future meetings/ride outs with anybody that's local.
Think that will do for the intro's for now.. 8)

Ah bum!! Cant do that weekend, theres a rally on that weekend too that I always miss - cant remember the name off-hand, but its supposed to be a good one...
err anyway, no can't do that weekend as I have to stay at home with my daughter, something about it being her birthday on the 7th August?? She doesn't come on rallies with me as she still a bit young for them yet.
Bad timing on my part back then!! Should of held her in a tad longer lol

HI, i am from west yorkshire too. I bought an er5 as my first bike an loved it, then i moved up to a curvey sv650s then a pointy sv650s and now i ride an sv1000s cant wait till they make an sv1400s
I often ride up to harrogate and that sort of area which has some good roads. You have tried the Sun Inn, have you visited Squires yet?
Have been to Sun Inn and Squires many, many times. Sun Inn is not too far from me, about 30 mins ride or so. You should try the cafe at Otley if you ever go through there, the one next to the river by the bridge - very cheap and decent food. Puts Squires to shame, which, to be honest ain't hard!
Only go to squires to meet up with people before a ride out. And sometimes go on a Friday teatime/eve to meet up with mates for a social chat and drink of hot chocolate.
Sun Inn gets busier in the Summer on sunny Sundays, but its quieter during the week and Saturdays. Do a nice Sunday lunch there though! Great when your coming back from a rally or weekend away
Where else do you go?
My er5 is errr a 'well used' bike. More time spent riding than cleaning, but its been a bloody good workhorse and never let me down. Will miss him but time to move on!
