I bought a new lid at the weekend, along with a new textile jacket.
After much deliberation i was going to go and get an Arai RX7. Found it online at 25% off, bargin! The evening before an email pops up in my inbox from Hein Gericke...20% off everything over £200. HG is closer thatn where i was going to go, so trundled off down there instead. No RX7GP's in my size, so i plumped for one of the new Quantums in Diamond black, and whilst there got myself a Tricky II Goretex jacket. Both these items where to replace damaged items after my off last year. I wasnt going to spend that much on a jacket, and to date in 12 years of riding its the dearest jacket i have bought, but what the hell!
Saved £145 in total, so not too bad.
I love new lids, they smell all nice, and are nice n snug, you can see through the visor. It wont be like that after a few months of riding in london, but its nice while it lasts.
Oh, also got myself a HID kit. Wow, much better.
