Today I shall officially start the ball rolling towards selling my 2000 W reg SV650S.
Please bare in mind I am pregnant, things take an age to do, and my mechanic(Yorkie Chris) is stuck in Spain due to stupid volcanoes)
This bike is a black faired curvy. I have owned it for three years, it has never let me down, it has been to France and the length and bredth of this country! It is used all year round, in all weathers.

Around 34k on the clock(will confirm when I have the battery back off the other SV)

HIGHER GEARED, so one tooth up on front from standard 'S' specs. Perfect if you do very long commutes.

Serviced regularly by YC. All previous services prior to me owning it, are in the Suzuki service book.

MOT until 20th Aug 2010 TAX until 31 AUG 2010

Meta M375T alarm and imobiliser

New Hel black braided hoses on the front

Stealth Wavey disks

Replacement OEM shock (taken from PeteVtwin and Lissas SV) with aprox 1700 miles only on it, done last summer
Ohlins linear fork springs

Newly Powdercoated rear subframe last summer

Black OEM seat cowl

Suzuki OEM gel seat (both pilot and rear seats available, grab rail put back on Rentec rack put back on other bike)

Scorpion very high level, slightly stubbied can(baffle in loft, please remind me)
Also rear footpegs, and spacer kit if needed.

Polished rims

Stainless heavy bar ends

Black Tinted Double Bubble screen

The tail seems to have been tidied by the previous owner.

Avon Storms front and rear, both have been replaced various times over the three years, both were replaced last year at some point.

Motosliders engine crash bungs and Swingarm bobbins.

Fender extenda, not fitted, although there is a mod, hiding under the rad to keep the frint plug dry. Never failed yet.

All previous MOTs, lots of other paperwork from previous owner too.

It is currently outside being washed, polished and prepped for sale, pics will follow in next day or two, it will have anything that needs servicing done when YC is back from Hols.

The bad point is, that it does have a crack on the left fairing panel, which has been there for two years, I did have a minor 5mph off, which has had no detriment to the riding capacity of the bike. I have looked for a replacement but to no avail
Its been ridden everywhere since.

Its an honest, ten year old SV that has been pampered and looked after by myself.

I am starting with an asking price of £1400, I am open to reasonable, and not silly offers. Please don't waste my time, I need this bike sold so I have room for the V Raptor. I have a had a little interest, and will offer to those that have expressed first.

I will update if there is anything that I have missed and to add pics.
Thanks for looking, and remember I have the memory of a sieve at the moment, a little patience required :-)

with the high gearing does this cause any problems when trying to overtake a car towing a caravan? ;)

good luck with the sale

And yes....the crack, pretty easy fix for someone thats better at it than me, good clean straight one, its already been apoxy resined on the back, it doesn't move or make an funny vibration noises.

Thats a V Clean Bike,I have to ask,

How did you get the front downpipe to look soooo gooood

The speck of you bike says rear footpegs and "Spacer kit"

Is this a kit to move the footpegs away from the high level link pipe?

If it is where would I get this kit,Ive twin renegades on my curvy and I had to remove the pegs

Cheers Mark

Thankyou :-)
Downpipe, elbow grease, Barkeepers friend and a green scourer, 240, 400,800,1200 wet n dry, fine wire wool....and autosol, great big barrels of it!!

I say 'kit' its actually something the previous owner machined up I believe.
Yes it does lift the pegs away from the link pipe. I've never used it, as I've never had a pillion on that bike, AFAIK it obviously works as he wouldn't have given it me, along with the rear pegs!
TBH a lot of people make up their own versions in some way shape or form. It maybe a few days, as I'm working through the weekend, but I'll take a pic of the spacers if you want....may have to remind me though :-)

Don't suppose you fancy selling the gel seat separately?? :D

dizzyblonde
23-04-10, 07:53 PM
not really hun, it goes with the bike, if I start saying yes to bits and bobs, then everyone will be asking for stuff.

Sorry, it goes with the bike, its been sat on it for the last three years, so it stays with it.

Don't mean to sound horrid :-(

Why don't you get either of these gus to put a gel pad in your seat

http://www.vikingvinyl.co.uk/News.html

http://www.tonyarcher.co.uk/

Much Cheaper and you don't get the water retaining cover that is the OEM gel seat

Tony Archer's work gets good feedback

Yeah would like to see what they look like. Thanks

They are just spacers, 20mm or so bar with an 8mm hole down middle will do it... might flex a bit though.

Come on all you lovely people, over 700 views, and lots of people that have seen the bike for real have said its a nice one, but I need someone to buy it.

I do have room for it, but the V Raptor might be coming home on Wednesday, not the first time theres been two SVs and a Raptor sharing the same bed, it might be snuggled up nice and warm but Dave the bike wants to be snuggled up in YOUR garage:D

Ok peeps, there has been a turnaround in the sale of this bike.

Pegasus took Dave the SV for a spin the other night to make sure everything was fine, and came back and decided that we really shouldn't be selling it. We aren't desperate for the money from the sale, Carol Nash came back with a fab quote for all three of my bikes, which means Dave the bike is costing practically nothing to stay here.
Pegs decided he'd like to use it for going to work on rather than using the ZZR or the Freelander, as he thinks its a cracking little bike:grin: He has been seriously thinking of having a second bike for himself anyway. He also thinks that reducing the asking price to get rid isn't an option either, as its stood is worth slightly more than £1400.

SO LOOKS LIKE I'M GOING TO BE A GREEDY MARE:smt041

for now......sorry guys. Maybe next time someone might be lucky.
