As per title.
I'm after an engine in perfect working order. Ideally complete. To fit an 07 K6 650.
Starved my current engine of oil.
I'm located in Solihull and willing to travel.
Let me know if you have seen one online/ebay that I have missed!
Cheers all, Aran.

Hey, try sticking a post on here. (http://www.motoforum.net/)
Mainly for racers but with plenty of minitwinners and people with minitwin contacts. may find something on there. Definately worth a punt.
I would sell you my spare engine but there is a serious problem with the gearbox/gear selector so not really any good to you.

I would try and haggle for it!

Thanks Hornstar, will have a mooch round that.
Arn't the 'heads' on mine shot?
BTW it spilt its guts today! I was silly and went to show my mechanic savvy neighbour what my problemo was, and it blew. Something snapped off/cracked/broke, near the bottom by the exhaust downpipe.

maybe not the head casings which are what you need to do the conversion to a single spark!
Your best bet is put a thread into the racing area of the org and they'll tell you what probably will be kaput

Right Folks... Progress!! (about time!)
I'm picking up a 10,000 mile engine from a K6 on Saturday - £500
Then booked into a garage for fitting the following Saturday - Around £250 (Apparently)
So, what do I tell insurance/DVLA?

your name, address and that it has a valid MOT
They dont need to know it has a new engine unless you called them to say it was a right off after you wrecked the first one.
Dunno if DVLA need to know the number stamped on the engine has changed or not, someone will be along shortly who knows for sure.

Mate is there no one near you from the org that can help out with the fitting and save you £250.

at the end of the day its not like your digging in the working of the engine, bit like a plug and play job really its just getting the old one out and new one in, that could cause a problems with lifting it in and out
EDIT: was not reading what i was writing lol

I just want it fixed. Done in a day. Any problems I can go back. I know I could probably find someone nice enough/competant enough to do it for me on this sight, but oh well!
