I have for some reason thought i make a thread for people who own either sv650 curvy or pointy about frame colour. now if your like me you like to look at other peoples bike and always think it looks better than yours, or yours looks better than theres but you close page fast before you change your mind. But sometimes the other difference between the bikes is the frame colour.........

yet frame and wheel colour changes how entire bike looks. so i have made a thread for people to put up pictures of their bikes (SV650s, SV650 only) any year. and tell their opinion.

if you had the money to change the colour of frame would it be.........

BLACK OR SLIVER FRAME???????? (or other colour for special people)

here are my two bikes and i personally prefer black frame with rim tape. But a clean sliver frame and wheels looks amazing in pictures and when its in front of you.

I quite like the look of curvy with matt/satin black coated frame, especially with swingarm matching.

frame colour is a matter of personal preference and has been pointed out just a part of the whole look of a bike , however the style and craftmanship shine though in certain examples, the curvy frame much like the original T5 frames is a lovely thing, as are most of the tubular steel frams out there, the pressed out/ cast and extruded examples generally used are far less appealling IMO.

Cheers Mark.

i was originally looking at getting a silver framed pointy, probably because i didnt know they did a black one,

and then when on my searchings i found one with a black frame and couldnt look back, even though silver was more my budget i actually didnt like the look of it anymore

so i bought a black framed one, <<<< see picture

thanks for all your your opinions but recently i have noticed most sports bike own a mate black frame but i find sliver more eye turning as it looks clean. I have cleaned my white sv650 wheels several times and they still look dirtybut from a distance look clean as they are black.

thanks for all replies guys (and girls)

Anything but a black frame looks old fashioned now imo, bit like VHS, nobody uses them anymore ;)

I like the look of older bikes , i mean really old bikes but like modern technology ;)
Still prefer the black frame on the sv though.

I quite fancy a GS1000 with modern running gear, but might get flatslides for SV instead. Marginally more sensible way of blowing hundreds of pounds than going down the pub I suppose.

You'd have something at the end of it instead of a hangover and a loss of memory.
Dont forget pics if you do ;)

i've got a silver frame but i definitely prefer the black frame. it does kinda depend on the overall bike colour too though.
