View Full Version : Curvy 'S' parts needed.

well as some off you guys know I was knocked off my bike less than 24 hours after buying my 1st ever bike (Yesterday).....grrrrrrr hit'n'run aswell....
Well I cant seem to find some off the parts I need i have looked in SV for sale forum at people breaking SV's and flebay but am still missing some bits..
I have a 2000 sv650
I need the bracket that the gear shift lever that bolts on to frame with... (the foot rest) left hand front.
gear shift leaver
screen
Left mirror
left indicator
rear light unit Indicator and lights
Clutch handle
front Brake resevoir
Choke switch

Also the bike will not start is there some sort of kill switch or saftey switch on the bike I am missing other then the one on the bars ? ... All electrics are working lights and dash etc.... but when i hit the button it dont kick in.

anyways if you guys have some off these parts or know someone does please hit me up on pm... the ones in bold i am unable to find

i've got a left hand mirror-few marks , not the prettiest but will do a job £12 posted, will get back to you on your gear selector mount-you needing the full thing?-can you post a pic of your damaged one

the starting problem is probably the clutch or sidestand switch. clutch lever needs to be in to start, and you need to either be in neutral or have the sidestand up. check the wiring and the switches themselves.

try ebay buddy you will get all of this and cheapish, with the starting the bike i would say clutch (hold it in) or side stand (if in gear) you dont have an imobiliser?alarm on it do you??

I dont think i need the foot rest other than some scuffs that looks in good nic... but The bracket has snapped completely and the gear Shifter is bent ... So i need the shifter and the bracket....

try ebay buddy you will get all of this and cheapish, with the starting the bike i would say clutch (hold it in) or side stand (if in gear) you dont have an imobiliser?alarm on it do you??

The bike is in Neutral I managed to do that last night at the side off the road and the Kick stand is up. And hav tred with Clutch pulled in.... but still wont start....
But my choke switch is damaged the bike went in to a wall sliding screen and seat took most off he force....

on the side stand under it should be a plunger type kill switch see if its ok, at the front side if the switch you have a wire going up near front sprocket then under drivers seat i think there it is connected to a block hyou can undo then try start it if not sure call me 07515527361

Check fuses under right infil panel under seat

Check battery connection too

you said you had lights on at start of the post, now im confused have you just flatened battery some how or was the lights on amd still on now when you turn key to on

Fuses all checked and battery conections are ok

worked fine until crash it look in good nick now .............. no leaks or damage............. could be flat.. !

just did a silly check (two bit off wire and some rubber gloves) and it looks like battery is dead...... hmmmmm ffs.....

i got this when my battery died thougt £10 was cheaper than new battery to find out if it was/wasnt the battery just set to 12v plugin for 2hrs and i was off again also it has loop conections you can leave on the battery

Looks like I will need the full thing Husky..... A I am unable to remove one off the bolts to take the whole thing apart as it is jamed in and allan key bit inside has been rounded off... so I need te bracket the plate and foot peg....

i can give you the one off my bike( can't ride at the moment due to wee offroading accident) you just need to cover the cost of me getting the replacement-be about 35quid (be about four days before i get it sent to me) and i can send it along with the mirror-save on postage-i'm off to have some munchies will be back on later

LoL.... that it is my sexy lil biker chick .... hopeing to have it up ad running in a week maybe 2..... got a load of parts coming from ebay and some coming from these kind ladies and gents on here ... and Stu is gonna try and come and help me put my jigsaw back together lol .....

Got the battery checked today it only had 8volts in it..... so it is in the garage charging,I pick it up tomorrow then I will try again and see what happens....
