Wow that's pretty original. I like it, especially the panniers! Good work.

Not my thing.
Each to their own.
Are those dents on the tank?
If they are, why go to the bother of painting it and not sorting the dents out?

Indeed, it fits the bill for his love of Matt black paint, although he will be disappointed it wasn't applyed with a stick:o

I dirty furry rat mounted on the mudguard:rolleyes:
I'm not keen, I prefer ratbikes of the 80s era, they are most certainly original in taste.
I can't see it!
It's like that black writing on a black background of the new forum colours!
It's very black  'gratz getting it back on the road and as long as you are happy with the looks. It certainly looks different, hope it lasts looking as good.

A very interesting bike, not my style but great work none-the-less. :D The only addition I'd make is a fender extender or you will suffer when it rains. :D

How did you go about painting the engine casings etc i.e. did you do it all yourself with an aerosol?

Nice!
You need to get some black nitride GSXR forks, not those shiny standard ones, oh and colour the rear brake res with black magic marker, and before anyone points it out, yes i know you won't be able to check the level, but it's the rear brake, who cares.

exhaust is going to get wrapped soon as i sort out a can for it
I think the bar end mirrors would look better IMO, the makings of a very nice rat bike there, well done!, and as you have said before - dont bother with the dents - its a rat bike!! Its supposed to have dents and imperfections!! ;)

But don't put motocross tyres on it unless you've going to use it off road.
Function before form :)

Just painted an engine using PJ1 satin black paint, Im sure a pic will be popping up of the bike sometime soon but for referecne its damn near identical to the colour of the k4+ swing arm.
Mint stuff and a store online (ebay I think) do it for about £5 a can or any Jordans bikes do it for £7.49
Wire brush the whole engine down, grease remover and a hose pipe to clean it all down, leave it to dry and use a soft brush to remove all remaining dust etc. Then spray away. SIMPLES

I quite like that! I personally like shiny shiny so wouldn't suit me but it's still smart as! Good job!
GIMME! That's damn sexy. I've always liked the look of rat bikes/rat bikes styling. Inspiration for if I ever decide to get a respray is that! :)
is your radiator bent or is it an optical illusion?
