Taunton... So What Do We Know About It?

There may be some sort of work possibility for me there. But it needs a relocation as travel between there and Sunny Swindon is a little on the impractical side. I know nothing about the place, so help me out here.

Whats it like? Wheres the good areas, and the not so good? Is there any sort of scene there? Would you recommend it to the discerning biker about town?

Although I've been there many times I don't really know anything about Taunton, but its smack bang in the middle of the region I'd like to live, lots of nice coast North and South, plenty of rides on and off road.

Speak to Rich with the white GSXR 600, he lives in Taunton IIRC.

I've been out in Taunton a few times, seems to IIRC have a lively pub scene, not much in the way of clubs though. One of the pubs seems to have quite a good live music scene to.

I quite like the place, mind you I live in Yeovil so anywhere is appealing after that :D

One of the guys I work with lives in Taunton so will ask him tomorrow what areas are decent to live in.

Not really sure, nothing big springs to mind, plenty of smaller places. Somerset County Hall have quite a big IT install mind.

I had a look in February time there was not much about then. Might have change now...

Umm. Thinking of the future you see. There is a particular company I'm looking into but apart from them I don't know anyone else in the area. Didn't know you were looking...
