Cheap commuter wanted

Thinking about getting a cheap 500-750cc anything considered Dont mind a bit of work and budget is around £600-1000 so probably looking at bandit/gs500/cheap curvy/gpz etc. What have you got?

Shame your so far away, i have a K5 in need of some TLC (brakes have siezed but have a new set of calipers ready to go on, and it's not firing on the rear cylinder) for your sort of budget. I haven't moved it out of the garage for 2 years so want rid of it.
