Hi,
I'm getting some money from home insurance as my kids tipped water over my iMac G5 so I now want a laptop or MacBook which would you say is better?
They both do things slightly differently (As being a MAC owner you should know). If Macs are your thing then get a mac book. However, Laptops (WIn7) are a lot blardy cheaper.

A couple of months ago my laptop finally gave up the ghost and I looked at speccing up a new one. I used to enjoy this but there seems to be so much choice now I really couldn't be bothered. I had looked at a MacBook when I bought my old laptop but was put off by the cost for a sufficiently high spec machine.
This time I looked again and with a choice of half a dozen or so configurations it was a lot easier and I finally bit the bullet and got myself a 15" MacBook Pro. I'm very pleased with it so far although it's early days, I've also got a Windows 7 desktop to compare with so time will tell.
The bundled software is quite impressive and I started off using OpenOffice (freebe) although since my wife has decided she needs to use it I'm going to have to buy M$ Office instead. The purists would say go for iWork but as I've never used that I didn't want to learn yet another application so I can't comment. The bundled backup app Time Machine is in my experience a lot less hassle than anything that was bundled with Windows. I also use the Mac versions of Firefox and Thunderbird. A number of my favourite PC progs like World of Warcraft come on disks that are dual format so I didn't have to buy them again.
The build quality is impressive and if the worst comes to the worst I can always go back to Windows...
try them and decide for yourself

You can save quite a bit by buying a refurbished Macbook from Apple. They come in absolutely brand new condition as the case is always replaced with a brand new one and the electronics have been tested.

Is this even a question? If money isn't your limiting factor then why would you opt for substandard equipment?
