Yesterday i dropped my bike :(

Ok before i continue if any of you ever speak to our lass the deal is i was pulling out of a right hand junction missed a gear, went on the grass and it slid out. max speed 1-2mph!!! :)

What actually happened was i was a very silly boy...

Comming up to a right hand bend on the way home with paul 6th, blinky and chris? last night i approached it a little too fast. Whilst scrubbing off some speed i looked forward at the junction opposite and thourght oooh that would be a nice run off if i needed it. Then as i went into the corner i thourght "ooh a little gravely" so what i should have done is just carried on. For some reason what i actually did was look at the grass verge oposite, stood the bike up, hit the grass and then found myself sliding merrily on my ass accross the ploughed up grass. (i belive this is called "doing a sneggons"? :) ) target fixation, braking mid corner, disengaging brain....

Sooo end result is a scuffed tank, bellypan, mirror, rear quarter, bent crashbung smashed rad cowl and mud in lots of nooks and crannies. And some mucky leathers.

Luckily im ok no thanks to my complte stupidity However i am missing out on the one run i really wanted to do this year :( I owe Paul, binky and paul mate (is it chris or rob) a large pint for being so understanding after i runined the last leg of their run (i believe crashing mid rideout is called "doing and orose"?). I would also like to apologise to paul's missus for making him late back to put the water on. They all looked after me superbly and made sure i was alright. I would also like to thank DP for his half past midnight call to make sure i was ok, Hope you have a nice holiday dave.

Cheers guys I still had a fantastic day and would love to do it again ASAP! as long as you'll have me out with you again. Pride in shatters, credit card about to go into meltdown and feeling like a very very silly boy...

Cheers

Andy

Awww mate, hope that you are not too stiff and sore today. Have fun fixing your bike up, it gives you the excuse to fit those shiny bits you looked at in the past and though "Hmmm..."!

:-)

Glad that you are OK though, keep it shiny side up out there folks and ride safe.

At least you're OK and the bike's not badly damaged. We've all done it at some time or other, mostly we get away with it but it's still an annoying experience! Best of luck repairing the bike and getting back into it!
