The Honda was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a mobile when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The rider’s reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident.
The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them.
The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.
All three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department (US).

This (http://www.driveandstayalive.com/articles%20and%20topics/crash%20causation/speed_swedish-motorcycle-crash_2005.htm)is the original which has nothing to do with mobile phones but a rider supposedly doing 155mph, and there are still a large number of people who think it's faked. If there were three bodies in the car, why was the roof not cut off to remove them is one of the plausible "it's a fake" arguments.

I`m gonna be the grumpy one now who says that whether or not the pictures are real or fake I really think you should exercise a little bit of caution and think twice before posting pics of bike accidents.

Not everyone wants to look at something like that and it could cause a lot of upset. If you feel the need to be gruesome then post a link to the pics so that people have the choice of whether or not they see them :D

There's no need to be like that. Just maybe a more descriptive thread title with some warning for the gruesome pictures might have been appropriate rather than the ambiguous - I have no idea what this thread is about so I'll open it to find out - title you chose to go with.

I have to disagree Ed, I`m certainly not squeamish..... I wouldn`t do the job I do if I were! In all the time I`ve been a member of the forum I have never known someone to post pics like this without either a link to the pics or a warning in the thread title.

It`s not a case of being sqeamish, from my point of view I don`t want to see pics of ? bike accidents as I had nearly 2 years of friends sending me pics of that nature to try and put me of riding. I sometimes lack confidence and whilst I`m aware of the risks I don`t want to have a nasty visual reminder.

I feel it`s also a question of respect for other people too.... photo`s of gruesome bike accidents could stir up some very nasty memories for some members causing a lot of distress.

Jings, it all came from an email jen got from a work colleague, if its been mistitled or upsetting or a hitler post or in any way wrong whatsoever please accept our sincerest and humblest apologies for this mistake. How do you go about deleting a post? Its of no consequence and everybody seems to be aware of the story anyway...
