Interesting, and normally I would feel your pain. But I have had no ill effects from hay fever at all this year. Began taking Loratadine back in March and so far its worked a treat. I suffer from early season hay fever, tree pollen apparently, and the bad time for me is nearly over.

Go back in time, grow up in the country eating dirt and worms, you'll be fine.

I've had the same this year! The inclings of hayfever starting as usual (grass pollen for me in May or June I think) so I took some Loratidine but I'm fine so far. Maybe it's still coming.
Ed, I sympathise, have you tried all the different hay fever remedies yet? They work differently, Loratidine works for me but not cetirizine hydrochloride.

I live less than 200m from a 20-acre field of Oil Seed Rape. It is one of the most choking and foul smells ever. I may not have hayfever but I can sympathise!

Please don't be one of those folks that move to the country and then complain about 'fresh country air' Ed. :D What you gonna do when they start mowing the hay? :p

I did wonder when this thread would start after last year!
Go and see your Doc and ask about Prednisolone and or Nasocort/Beconase sprays.

Citirizine. Goes for 24hrs and non drowsy. It'll cost you a fortune of you ask for a branded version, ask for the pharmacutical name and it'll cost you anywhere between £1.99 and £3.00.
Anyway it could be worse, I don't suffer hayfever, but I started with a stnking cold last weekend, and now Peg kept me awake all last night, as hes started with it.
Its bleddy summer!!
Ed i feel your pain, i have been stock piling hay fever tablets and sprays on prescription (they are free for me at the min) and have beent aking them for about a month now i might not live in the country but cut grass, tree sap are just two of the things i am allergic to
Ed, try this, it should cure your hayfever, don't think it's legal on the bike though. :D

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be off to the chemist/doc. Mike as for complaining about the grass, no I don't mind that but I do mind the bloody tractors that block the roads around here:smt093
We live not far from a riding school and the immediate neighbours to the horse place rush out with a bucket to collect the horse poo for their rose beds:D
I'll get used to them country ways:D

:D On my last rideout we met a tractor pulling a humongous trailer on a steep single track. He had to reverse as we were going downhill
