decided to go and check it out this evening, thought i'd tell you lot as i know amanda wanted to know what it was like.... AND!!........... as i greatly predicted at poole, it was rubbish ...... and that's being nice.
i went for a blast pretty much right around the forest and dropped in on my way home, i went across on a back road from exbury village (the one that was on top gear when they drove the model T's about) which came out at the cross roads literally at the place and whilst waiting at the red light i was starting to wonder where the hell it was as it was dead. I had a guess where it could be as i know the area and it paid off as i could sort of see it. Rode along slowly to the gate as it really was deserted and got to the bit where you pay (i didn't realise you had to). Anyway i said hello to the woman at the gate then had a quick glance in and i reckon i would have been about the 7th bike there , then turned to the woman and said "oh am i early?" (it was about 7:30 she said "no we've been here about and hour and a half"... took one glance at the price sign sifting through the crap and it read........ "£2 for one adult and one bike":confused::smt120:smt120 what?!?! all there is is a marque sort of thing that im guessing is for food that you still have to pay for and that's it, its a carpark for a sort of football / leisure club
i said "I'll come back in a min, just going to go get some cash" then blasted off, i even felt embarrassed for them :smt120. Its apparently organised by the same people as sunnyfields farm was but that was £2 as it went to the air ambulance charity which i was happy to pay plus it was busy and lots to do
so to summarise it was crap and a waste of time, i may try again later in the season but not if there is no money going to charity, £2 really is a joke
yeah so don't bother, im just glad i went for a ride beforehand ...... there i did my org service
