2001 SV650S (Y)


I'm selling my SV650S as I'm looking to upgrade to a TL1000R or a RSV Mille. Spec as follows:

-2001 'Y' reg
-650cc 90 degree V twin
-Candy Saturn Black
-16,000 miles
-Full Service History
-1yrs MOT + 5 Months tax
-Lower Fairing
-Rear Hugger
-Rear seat cowl
-Iridium Oval Titanium Blue Flame Powerport end can
-Titanium Oval High level Fuel end can
-Iridium double bubble screen
-Micro oval rear indicators
-Alphadot security
-Immobiliser
-brand new Pirelli Diablo tyres
-2 Keys
-I am only owner from new!


All paper work, service book, previous MOT certificates, SORN documents, tax discs, original purchase receipts, service receipts, immobiliser certificate etc are present.

The bike will be sold with both the Blue Flame and the Fuel exhausts.

There is a crack in the left hand side upper fairing which occurred when I dropped it against a car in a car park back in 2002 but it is not really noticable. There were a couple of scrapes on the fairings from the patio doors which I managed to polish out although they do not show up on the photos.

Apart from this my SV has been extremely well looked after. It has ALWAYS lived indoors (garage or dining room). I have always cleaned and polished it after every ride including brasso for the exhaust.

It must be seen! Its my pride and joy! I am only selling as I am looking at upgrading to a big twin.

Do you have the original exhaust?

I do have the original exhaust, although it wont be of much use unless with a connecting sleeve as I had to remove it with a hacksaw top fit my Blueflame.

Forgot to say, I have all of the original parts which I will supply with the bike, including screen, pillion pegs exhaust (although will need a connection sleeve), pillion seat and chain guard etc.

Forgot to mention, I curbed the front wheel too when I swerved to avoid someone. That was only a few days after I bought it, back in 2001. The edge of the lip is marked but there are no buckles as I did not run up it, I just ran along side it. Just trying to be honest.

Thought i'd post a pic of the crack in the fairing. I fitted a thin bracket to stop it from spreading. It was supposed to be short term but that was 8 years ago and never bothered looking into replacing it as It wasn't really that visible

Tell me about it. Mines been advertised for a couple of months on here. Although its now on biketrader. Some one coming to look at it tomorrow. To be honest, since I serviced it and fitted the K+N filter, I want to keep it, lol. The K+N makes a hell of a difference in sound and throttle response. :)

Yeh, got the asking price. I was partly hoping that the guy wasnt going to offer me my asking price so I could keep it. When he offered me the cash I didnt know what to do. It completely threw me as I wanted to keep it. Now I've been sat trawling the internet for a TLR or a RSV for the past week and no luck so far.
