I have just seen a thread title from Quiff's 'World cup something or other'

And the penny has just dropped, I have been wondering why I've been seeing all these cars driving around with enlgand flags on them.

I though it was all left over from St Georges day.

I suppose not REALLY a senior moment, that would indicate that I 'FORGOT' about the world cup.

I just had no idea about it at all

Surely its a blessing to have forgotten about it! That way your not obligated to watch it.

I'd rather stick aggrevated pirhanas in my shorts than watch that crap

How did you not know it was the world cup???
I suppose you must have missed all the adverts whilst sipping to a nice glass of rose whilst having your bikini line waxed and your legs epilated.

Your next thread title will be 'Where have I put my penis?'

:D

The only advert I've seen involving fitbae (for the scottish contingent) is the Tesco one about the rewards card and that's been running for MONTHS.

And I know exactly where my Penis is thank you very much...

Noooo, please don't mmaaaakeeee me tell a Scottish joke.... heard the one about the Scottish goalie...?

Me and Mrs w are in Italy for the group matches. Was there 4yrs, 8yrs,12yrs,16yrs back and the cafe/pub culture is brilliant when fitba is on. Bad planning though, her 50th is when one of the England matches is on - can't see the Scotland fixtures.

I had no idea either as i`ve no interest in sport what so ever, especially a load of overpaid half-wits looning around with a fkin ball.

As ChrisSV says, it's the ideal time for all good SV riders to go out and play.
Just be aware of programme finish times, 'cos all the pi$$artists WILL be out to kill you after ODing on the pop.

It has nothing to do with a bunch of overpaid footballists. It is in fact the Summer Driving Regulations Act 2002.

This Act requires all bad drivers during the summer months to warn all motorists of their sub standard driving skills by displaying about their vehicle a white flag with a red cross on it. Particularly bad drivers are required to display two.

If a vehicle is spotted with more than two flags displayed it is likely that their driving standard is so far below that of the required by the Highway Code, the current advise is that you stop, turn around, and drive in the other direction for your own safety.

I for one am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad Stretchie doesn't like football. Don't get me wrong, I like rugby and always watch a bit of Wimbledon.....but I'd rather be out doing things myself than watch other people run about on the TV.

Talking of them, i had one fly off a car in front of me while out riding, i ended up riding over it, the roads are gonna be littered with them in the next few weeks.

Your not implying that being a footoballist or a supporter of said activity is extremely gay are you ?
Sweaty men in shorts hugging each other when the net their balls then going for some nice hot soapy group shower action afterwards is surely "normal" ?

Lets just say that on more than one occasion, I would get a call to say that the police would be waiting at the ground to search the coach upon return.

Now...I should point out that I didn't have to get in my car and rush to intercept the coach on it's way back to hide anything illegal.......MUCH WORSE....there were things that went on that would just not make for very flattering headlines in the News of the World...lol

GG, this has brought back some fantastic memories, most of which shouldn't be shared.

But here's a wee one to contemplate. The usual naughtiness was going on on the bus including mooning to traffic. Sadly the local police were in one of the cars following. They pull us over and a pc shouts down the bus for the mooner to reveal himself. His wording wasn't wise... 20 odd ar5es were promptly pointed in his direction. But he was intent in getting his man. He shouted for one of our guys to get off the bus for a chat. PC gets off the bus and waits for said gent, who on getting from the back of the bus to the door, and onto the side of the road, took every scrap of clothing off. To make things even more surreal he's stood by the side of the bus, totally naked, with a greyhound on a piece of string.
You had to be there but what a picture.

There's worse but maybe for another day and another forum.

Worse...haha. We went through 22 cleaning companies and 4 coach companies in Gloucester and much more of both in Bristol. They would do one trip/clean and refuse our business again. I really can't post on a forum...in fact, I've never talked about the worst of it with anyone that wasn't there...don't think I ever will. Like I said, nothing illegal, but I am not shocked by much nowadays!
