They would be like SV1000SKZ's, as soon as the fairing is damaged they are a right off...

I know a guy who has got one and he said it is great until you go about about 70mph, then is is hard work to hang on

I wouldn't mind if my Thou' stayed at 70mph, but, she doesn't like going that slow

Thou's are 103bhp at the rear wheel. 118bhp at the crank...

I know an SV650 is supposed to do 121, I think mine is supposed to do 136, so, it isn't much more on the top end, but, I think a Thou's 0-60 is devastating to a 650

it was the trying ot put down the power lent over that usually was the TL's undoing. The rear shock isn't a conventional shock and it didn't work on a bike the TL's size and with it's power. So, when they put the engne in the Thou' they decided to curtail power as it looked as if Suzuki we responding to market pressure. You can still get 130+bhp from a Thou', just need the bits and some time
