Nice to see the usual well-informed, non-opinionated, reasoned comments from the elite of the Daily Echo readers.

I do agree that on a bike I find it much easier (and tempting) to take the p!ss (where I consider it safe to do so) with the posted speed limits - usually in NSLs, and therefore understand why car drivers feel that bikes should be specifically targetted (I would however prefer that we are treated as 'equals' and the undercover bike also pulls speeding/dangerous car drivers, including ****s on the phone)

However when c0cks start refering to 'natural selection' it gets right on my tits

i must admit i hadnt read any of the comments! from past experience i recall the majority of them being bike haters and any news story involving a bike brings out the "i bet he was speeding" brigade

there's many a troll on there too..

They quote all the percentage of traffic compared to percentage of road deaths. But thats just because when you crash on a bike your are more likely to get hurt or killed compared to a car where you are wrapped in metal!
The article does say it will target all speeders, but honestly, how many car drivers to do you think will actually see the undercover biker in their mirrors?!

didnt the dorset police's "caught" campaign, that was meant to clamp down on bike speeders.... didn't it end up only catching in the first montb about 2 bikers and a million cage idiots

wake up road safe, its the morons your giving car license's to that are the problem..... just go to halfords to see the evidence, most of them shouldn't even be allowed to walk the streets let alone own a car

A good bike article usually brings out the mouth breathers on any website...

The bike in question that the police dont want to reveal has 170bhp and is capable of 180mph (you need that sort of spec to!!)...... my guess is a busa as thats what most counties seem to be using

My money is on a blade - Mick Gear heads up the bike division and has had blades for the last 10 years or so as his own bike
