So where are Norton? ... and where are the Electric bikes? This years only Buzz seems to be a Moto2 bike on the Island.

Electric bikes are racing on Monday or Wednesday at 4.30pm. One lap race with £10,000 to whoever does it quicker than a 100mph average apparently.

Be surprised if they hit 100mph average last year - I think the winner last year was high 80's
But that was a year ago and in any new technology it comes on leaps and bounds in the first couple of years. I think a 100 mph lap could be a possibility!
So no Norton then? That died a death pretty quickly. Shame.

Norton are building the NEW rotary engine and will be back next year. The Norton from last year was practically a museum piece from the early 90's they reserected but it was well outgunned

0.112kph!? WTF that is taking the ****, I mean really. Cant blame guy for being a little less than impressed! Sigh.
I'm fuming along with him. Its a joke!
Someone start a Facebook Group or summat! :)
Seriously though, 30 seconds for such a ridiculous speed infringement. What is the margin of error on the gun used?
Bring back the failsafe foot-down-stop and reinstate his original position!

Yep, Guy look pretty fecked off in the Superstock interview today.... :0)
I'm really routing for Guy this year and i seriously thought he'd got the win.
I hope he stuffs them later in the week. From the 600 race it seemed to make him hungrier. And to lose by 3 seconds has only helped that for the next race.
Guy and Ian... I'm backing both... both great guys. so hopefully I'm covered :0)

yeah, was unbelievably close.
Loved Guy Martin's 'mutter mutter, pick up silverware grudgingly, storm off podium, mutter mutter' session when he got 2nd in the Supersport. Can understand his annoyance.
Ian Hutchinson though, brilliant work. And all done without mad bushy sideburns.
Felt for the guy in the superstock who managed to hang on during a near high-side, recover the bike, but blow up his knee while doing it. Got off in the pits and could not walk.

And where was the high-speed footage of it? Had the cameraman nipped off to the gents at that moment?

Very sad. Being a Kiwi racer a lot of people here knew him from the paddock. Nice guy - bought tyres off him before.

He scares me! No fear and I'm not sure that is too healthy on the road circuits. Looks like he's on the ragged edge the whole time and is a crash waiting to happen. Must be hard with such a family legacy to live up to.

I can see what you both mean, he certainly does look ragged, certainly not smooth and in control like Hutchy... Fingers crossed it wont come to a crash!

He has a terrible style and a terrible attitude... definetely and accident waiting to happen, hopefully he wont take anyone out with him when he does.
He's very nearly had ryan and guy off in the past week.
Hutchinson is just unreal, looks like he is nowhere near trying his hardest either.

That when he looked up at the video chopper was amazing, 200+MPH and not even looking where he was going.
Fantastic bike, fantastically ridden - that mans going to make/break all the records!

If you are looking at the TT live timing, that's just the average lap speed from the Grandstand to Glen Helen isn't it?

Gotta be, a 3mph average speed jump for the entire course would be unbelievable.

Conor Cummins Update
From McAdoo website:-
Conrod's Senior TT
McAdoo Kawasaki Racing’s Conor Cummins crashed out of the 2010 Isle of Man Senior TT on Friday 11th June.
The race was a re-scheduled event over four laps after the first attempt had been red flagged following Guy Martin’s earlier crash. Conrod was lying in second place, chasing down leader Ian Hutchinson who had just a three second advantage when he crashed at the Verandah and was airlifted to hospital. He has sustained serious injuries, including a broken arm, knee and two vertebrae. Thankfully, whilst he is in pain, Conor is not in a life-threatening condition.
The McAdoo Kawasaki team are devastated – Conor has become one of the family and is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet – a true gentleman. We are proud to have him in the team and will make every possible effort to help during this recovery time. He is a young lad with a massive future – as the 2010 TT proved. Even with the crash, no-one lapped the TT course faster than Conrod – his standing start lap in Superbike race one was never matched even though the competition had two flying laps each to set a time (last lap of each Superbike race). He completed more 131mph laps than any other rider. His four laps in Superbike race one were completed 16 seconds faster than Hutchy’s Senior TT winning four lap time despite Conrod’s clutch slipping from lap two.
However, whilst racing motorcycles is important to us, Conrod’s health will always be the top priority. Many thanks to all who have contacted us to wish Conor a speedy recovery and pass on their best wishes to him. It is very much appreciated.
Glad hes alright, sounds serious though.
All that garbage at the end about being quicker than Hutchinson is amusing considering in both race 1 and 2 he had +30sec leads so was cruising and wheeling for the crowd not racing.
Get well soon all of them... 2 deaths and 2 broken backs. Crazy stuff, hopefully the iom goverment allow it to keep going.
Youch - broken knee sounds like it could be a bad career injury; he really needs to fold himself up on a bike.

I got back last night from the TT, I have to say the atmosphere trackside (Gooseneck) when the race was red-flagged was very gloomy, everyone was quiet and glued to the radio. It was very good to hear he was concious!
The news about Connor Cummins didn't reach us (me and mates) until after the race and information was very sketchy. Most folks thought it was a minor incident until the next morning.
Best wishes to them both and all other riders injured on the island last week. Condolences to the families of those who died.

From the picks it looks like Guy's rear wheel has completely gone! I hope it wasn't it collapsing that caused the crash!
