After reading this thread (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=152792), who's interested in a ride out there on Sunday the 1st of August?

It'll be an early start, as it's open from 8am till noon. I know a great route down there from Basingstoke.

Yep, I'll send everyone who has said they're interested a private message two weeks before!

Ok all, Goodwood is open from 8-12 on Sunday, so I reckon we should meet up here:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Basingstoke,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&ei=4OFFTN-0O9S5jAfvkIS2Bw&ved=0CB4Q8gEwAA&t=h&hl=en&msa=0&ll=51.254073,-1.079632&spn=0.005446,0.009645&z=17&msid=100037633854947515737.00048bd556657420bbad7

at 9am to arrive at Goodwood for about 10-10.30. I thought we could hang around until midday-ish, when the drivers leave for their own drive out thingy.

I can't hang around for ages, so it's back the way we came to Basingstoke, arriving about 1ish.

Sound good?

What is that place? Is it a pub or hotel or something?

9am....that means I've got to leave home at 7am!! :o

No, just the entrance to a road, I could change the meet point to more of a landmark if people think it would help?

Yep, early start I'm afraid, I think the clue is in the thread title!

My sunday breakfast is usually at 2pm! ;)

A landmark would be good as I've near been to Basingstoke before and haven't got a clue where i'm going. Isn't it hotel/pub thats opposite?

Ok, we'll change the meeting point to Traders Bar and Grill.

I won't change the marker on Google maps as it's right opposite.

Oh, and just to let you know the rideout is somewhat weather dependant. A bit of drizzle is fine, if it's forecast to **** down all morning I ain't going!

OK, nice one!

Fair play with the weather call. I don't really want to spend a day in the rain.

Still no idea if I'll make it. i really want to but the Mrs is still undecided about what we are up to, and apparently I have to go to Great Aunt so and so's birthday or some **** like that.

so, how did it go guys? Sorry I din't make it. I woke up with a stinking hangover in bath - just a bit too far to ride at that time in the morning.

Yeah it was good, but spent some time on a gravel dressed road on the way back!

We came back a slightly different route to the one we went on, which wasn't as good in my opinion.

I'll have to do it again at sometime.
