I went for the first time last yeay and there were about 7500 bikes. Its a slow run but worth it for the thousands of people who line the route wishing they you. Police will shut off roads and roundabouts for us to get through which is nice of them.

To be honest, I was glad to escape from there! :D

I have to head that way at some point though because my family are down there and also a big pile of my friends. :p

It is not the most forward thinking place though, although I did love the independent record shop in Frankfort Gate, they always had a load of great Black Metal in stock. I suspect that they went bust though. :(

I would offer a place to stay for peeps but I will have the future in-laws staying that weekend...it seems the perfect excuse to do the ride in my opinion. Will wait until the day to make a decision though as I don't know how tired/hung-over I'll be yet!

:riding::riding:Just got back from Megaride. It was a little disjointed with people taking different routes to the Hoe, but the ride and the weather were brilliant. Next year I will try to think a little more in advance and see if we can get an sv posse together for the megaride.
