I saw that the reply was from TLW and you know what, his responce didnt disopoint. Keep up the rib tickling :)
OP - He's right ya know! They do come with busa's attached normally though. If you're after one of its own I'd try the usual places; Ebay, Scrappers, Busa forum etc.

Ebay...
Radical Cars in Peterborough - they buy complete brand new engine units from Suzuki and modify them for race cars. I've bought Hayabusa engine spares (complete brand new clutches etc) from motors they've stripped for modification in the past because they are dirt cheap compared to new Suzuki parts.
They might sell a complete engine

Might work out favourably to buy a crashed busa to break for bits.

You try finding one that hasn't already found a new home via the grapevine. They are a bit popular once crashed for the same reasons the op is asking for one.

oh yeah, they're super desirable with custom builders of all sorts, have to move fast to get one. Or suck it up and buy a bike with one in.

What about an R1 engine instead?
I know where there is one ;)
Any of the big powerful 1000+ cc sports engines will be great fun in a kit car.
If your mate has his wits about him it's worthwhile buying a whole good bike and breaking it for spares. You'll possibly end up paying zero for the engine etc after you've flogged everything else off on ebay

His been looking at this option, if he was really smart he would buy a busa and forget the car idea :p
