I don't think it's the water fight bit they are worried about.

"Unfortunately experience elsewhere has shown that whenever these events are organised they normally descend quite rapidly into violence, mayhem and misery for the innocent people caught up in it."

You can't really odds that can you. It been done before, it went wrong, they want to stop it happening again. The problem is some people, and they only have to be a small minority, just don't know when to stop do they.

I have to say that if I was walking past in a suit and started getting sprayed I'd be a bit ****ed. On the other hand, if I was in a suit and saw it happening, I'd just take a different route. :D

Exactly i can understand people not wanting to get involved as it would **** me off too if i didnt want to but being in london why do i feel many people walked straight through the middle then complained about it.

I was at Brands Hatch WSB about 10ish years ago when the campsite decided to organize a game of British Bulldog. It ended up with about 1,000 people involved and the public order commander was having kittens panicking about how he was going to stop this "fight", despite reassurances that it was just a bit of fun. Mind you, it did get a bit dodgy when they decided to upend a skip to act as a goal but overdid it a bit and rolled it over some poor blokes tent.....fortunately he wasn't inside!

From reading that, seems like the council are the driving force against this, not the Police.
