The time has come to part with my beloved 2000 Red SV650S.

72207221

I bought this striking bike a year ago with 30k miles on the clock. I have added another 9k miles since but have painstakingly and lovingly maintained it to a point where it is in a better condition now than it was when bought. The bike has been garaged and cleaned regularly.

Good Points

Regularly serviced (last time 3k miles ago)
Callipers stripped, new seals and rebuilt 05/10
HEL Braided hoses front and rear 05/10
DID Gold X-ring chain and sprockets 12/09 (cleaned and lubed every 250 miles)
K&N Air filter
Double Bubble screen
Fender Extender
New battery 04/10
New Regulator/rectifier 04/10
Hugger (have original chain guard)
Seat Cowl (have pillion seat, excellent condition)
Fuel exhaust (baffle out but i have it, sounds great!!)
Exhaust hanger (pillion pegs removed but i have them)
Alpha dot
Datatool Evo (2 keys and fobs)
Osram nightbreaker bulbs
Mirror extenders
New reflective rim tape
BT014 front (08/09 still good)
BT021 rear (12/09 loads of life left)
MOT 05/11
Tax 10/10

Bad Points

The first time I rode the bike I dropped it at a virtual standstill (preparing to u-turn). Hence the right hand bar end is scratched and there are small scratches to the botom of the lower fairing (only visible if you get down on your knees and look for them). There is also a small dent/scratch to the exhaust.

I am looking for £1200 ono.

Bike can be viewed anytime, I am in Sawtry (10 miles south of Peterborough on the A1).

Any questions please PM me, thanks, KellyJo x

That does look in excellent condition especially considering the mileage.

Thanks guys, I have absolutely cherished it for the last year, as you will know by all the questions i've asked on here. It really has been like another child!

Seriously, the mileage must become fairly insignificant, I know there are many curvys out there with far fewer miles but i'm at home all day and so have had all the time in the world to clean, polish and maintain. Only last week I had the lower fairings off and the autosol out so the downpipes are looking lovely :-)

Thanks for your kind comments x

Why do things never EVER go to plan??

It looks like i cant raise the last few hundred quid i needed to get the bike i wanted, so for now i'll be keeping the sv. Mixed feelings about that, but it wasnt for sale through any problem with it so i'll just keep clocking up the miles and enjoying it :p
