Seen this on The front page of dorset echo about 5 mins ago. Sadly it is cartend on here. Blue sv650s and I remeber him saying he had a little kid. Very sad. Rip mate. My thoughts are with his family.

There was a picture of the wrecked bike and car on the front page.

Last activity on the forum was the day before the accident, article refers to the chap working "as a packer" - carternd lists his occupation as "Muesli shover"

I just saw this and am in a bit of shock. Carternd was indeed Neil Carter. He was on the Squirrel_Hunter redundancy rideout a couple of weeks ago and s spent most of the Saturday and mine and Stretchies house both before and after the ride (and during to shelter from the rain).

I cannot quite believe this. He was a lovely lovely chap and stuck around for a fair while after most had left just to chat and get to know us.

Rest in Peace Neil.

I've just seen the photograph in the Echo and yes, I can confirm that it is indeed Neil, carternd as we know him on the forum.

I don't think he'd met many people off this forum, but was certainly looking forward to many more rideouts.

He really was wans't he. Poor chap came off on his very first rideout and just jumped back on and carried on anyway.
