what are the Lock stop legalities, required for a MOT?
just figuring out what to do as far as they are concerned, at full lock nothing touches apart from the fork stantion on the frame, but there are already hole on the yoke to make somthing up if i needed to

"With the front wheel raised off the ground the handlebar must not hit or foul the tank when the steering is fully turned lock to lock, the steering must move freely and without drag or notchiness."

ohh thats all good then my bars are wide enough to clear the tank, and down sides to not having them ?
the bit the fork's hit is the bit that the rad hooks on to, going to cover these in rubber to stop the stations from been scratched

You can cut two round discs of hard nylon plastic and then glue these to the frame rail where the forks come round too. They then will act as lock stops. Ive done this on my racebike to reduce the lock slightly and help protect the lockstops on the yoke from getting damaged in an off.

Could you possibly get any pictures of this? I've fitted my lockstops like a nonse (very limited steering).
Where would you source the discs/nylon plastic?
cheers

My race bike is in the truck so will get some pics when it comes out. We just got a 19mm diameter nylon bar and cut it down to 1cm long. Then position it onto the frame rail with some duct tape so you can put it into the correct location before glueing. Ideally it should meet the upper fork leg about 1inch above the bottom yoke, although on some bikes you cant do this. No glue will bond it so that you can swing off it once in place but it will hold fine under normal use.

Their min order is £10 though plus shipping.

Try windscreen bonding and primer, your local independent windscreen fitter will sell you it and instruct you how best to apply it. I hung shelves and paper-towel dispensers to the inside walls of my old Renault Master van with that stuff and in 150K miles nothing fell off. I had to cheesewire the shelf unit off when I sold the van

Hmmm need to think about that, the switches on Speedy Claire's bike foul the tank on full lock with the comfort kit installed.

i have decided to make proper lock stops using the subframe mount and the original RSV lock stops on the bottom yoke, im going to use 2 aluminium brackets with a steel plate behind them, just in-case of a tank slapper. I would prefer if the forks arnt hitting the frame every time i go full lock as well
