Hi guys, not posted on here for a year or two. I recently started a new job in a hospital in sheffield which is about a 20 minutes ride away and my Curvy SV is proving to be a superb commuter.
In my last job I was only just over a mile away and the bike hardly got warm, half the time unchaining the bike and putting the gear on made for a commute that took twice as long as going in the car!.
Now I am benefitting from free bike parking and a supremely enjoyable commute in the clear fresh early morning sun. Things have never felt better and my regular ride is making me at one with the bike like never before. I have had this SV for 5 years and while I have always enjoyed it, my situation left me having to make a bit of an effort to use it. Whereas now, riding is a big advantage and I feel like a regular biker again.
Until recently I was thinking of selling because I wasn't getting much use, but now I am so glad I didn't. The bike feels so right for me. A bigger or sportier bike would be a waste and a smaller bike would be less of a thrill.
Anyhow, has there been any advances in the SV650 world in the recent year or two ? Is there a 750 yet ? Or any advances with forks or brakes with new models ?
Sorry for being away, I'm back
