Hey guys,

For obvious reasons I'm going to invest in a back protector, most likely a Forcefield Pro L2, and wear it under my leather jacket. However, I'd just like to know, from those that own or have owned the Pro L2 what size fits what heigh. I'm not a large chap, I'm pretty much 6ft spot on and I'm a bit skinny so what sort of size would fit? I've tried my local stores but none have them in stock so I cannot try them on before hand as it looks like an internet jobby with regards to buying. So, what size Forcefield Pro L2 back protector would a fairly skinny, 6t guy need?

Answers on a postcard :D

Thanks

Your height will be meaningless unless you know in what proportion your torso is to your legs

Take a measurement of your spine length and use that instead

hey triv. I've got the forcefield L2 back protector. I was able to go in and see which one fit the best, but I know you're not able to do so.

I'm 5"10 and I think I have the medium size and it fits fine, but don't quote me on that. I'm somewhere else at the moment so can't confirm I'm afraid.

http://www.jc-motorcycle-accessories.co.uk/shop/313/4/forcefield_back_protector_pro_l2_award_winner_2007 2008.htm?

this site seems to base sizes on waist size, which I understand, because you don't want the strap too tight/loose around your belly. But I'm 34" waist and pretty sure I've got a medium, so I don't know if that figures.

I'm 6' with 32" leg, pretty normal proportions, and use a medium, which says 460-500mm measured from waist to top of shoulder (and a small diagram) on the label. I measure about 18.5" 475mm on that diagram, the fit is just right for me.

Most online suppliers have sizing charts shown, like here (http://www.intobikes.co.uk/products/002302/Forcefield_Pro_L2_Back_Protector?mn=0198&rt=24&rg=12&sg=OR&st=mn&sf=latest&sd=DESC)

Don't worry too much about the waist size, it's an elasticated velcro jobbie. The waist size they give is only a guide, there's plenty of scope for adjustment.
