Having now decided on the route it's about time to fix a date, therefore i've pencilled in saturday 10th July for the ride. Sunday 11th is also a poss. After that would be Sat 1st Aug but that is the week before the AR. Names and comments (if any) below if you're interested. Superb roads and hopefully nice weather, route is, Shrewsbury, Quattford, Ludlow, Leominster, Csossgates, Newtown, Churchstoke and back to Shrewsbury via my pad for those interested. It will be sunny and hot for lounging in the garden.

I'll ask Rob, my neighbour, if he'd like to come. He's a new (mature) rider and he'd like to start attending rideouts. A small one like this would be ideal.

Yep, please do ask him, meeting time i think will be 9.30 at Shrewsbury services as usual, aim is to leave by 10.00. I'm going to ask a few people not on the org as well.

Have bought Brian's VFR from him. I get one in my fave colour and with 25K less miles.

Daryl - I rode it home on day insurance and it won't be covered until Monday due to an insurance **** up. I was proper knackered this morning and decided to stay at home with ol' Silver.

Don't you just love insurance companies !!!!!!. I don't blame you for not coming if you were knackered, considering it was a sat there were loads of sunday drivers out yesterday plus tractors, JCB's. camper vans, caravans and even a Reliant Robin!, none of which could manage more then 30 mph. ( except the Robin which got to 32. ( on 2nd thoughts i think it was the tractor which was fastest! ). Not the sort of ride to do when you're tired. Perhaps next time then.

See the 'weekend thread' :D

Need to swap the exhaust, suspension (inc fork internals) and screen. Maybe panniers, not decided yet.
