Bike just through MOT - needs a rear Tyre
Looking at a BT023 Bridgestone
Honda = £149
Essential Rubber - East London = £130
Protyre [nation-wide] = £115

So booked in for tuesday and I'll get them to do my brakes when they are at it!

Whilst on the subject of well priced hoops. I am going to Halifax on Wednesday to visit family. Anywhere in the area that does great prices on rubber...????

That's a decent retail price for it fitted as well. Thank god I'm in the trade and fit them myself.

pirelli BSB's Part Worn £90 2 Rears and 1 Front. £20 fitted if i don't take wheels with me. Rear Lasts about 2000miles. cheap as chips and sticky too.

i went with a friend on wednesday and he got a BT-023 on the rear of his CBR600RR for £117,

Im goin up on tuesday to get 2 BT-020's for my Fazer for £170, fitted n all :)

Depends how you want to look at it. I get nearly 12,000 miles to a pair of touring tyres. Cost of ~£200.

£90 for 4000 miles worth of tyres, plus £10 fitting per tyre means you've spent £390 in that time. assuming 2 rears to a front. (£90 of tyres plus £30 fitting every 4,000 miles)

There's definatly a small initial outlay, but whether it represents cheap milage is worth calculating.

2000 miles out of some race take offs is bloody optimistic. I killed an SC2 rear in 1200 miles.
