Pity the poor Mrs. BanannaMan.
She's been married to me for 27 years today! (19 June,1983) :smt008
(and together 3 years prior)
Doesn't seem like it's been that long. :smt060
So...How long have you and your other half been together?

No worries luv.
You're on the .org now so's just a matter of time. ;)
(this place has produced more than a few couples)
Bev and I now married for a whole 28 years, ( 30 January 1982). Seems like only yesterday. and we haven't changed a bit.
Daryl.
been together with the bird for 16 months...handily enough our first date was 1st jan so i should be able to remember that each year! just got to organise a wedding in Poland for next summer now......
I kicked mine out after 3 years and was divorced 2 years later. I've done some stupid things in my time - divorcing her definitely wasn't one of them.
April 28 1998
So 12 years for me and Mrs Swin - first time around only lasted 5 years.
Lozzo - second time around is better :)

I'd love to add to this post, but like MBK I'm single.
Lozzo - second time around is better :)
I hope so, first time was hell on earth.
I passed up the opportunity for second time around after 7 years with her and the kids because the first had been so rough. Now that really was the stupidest thing I ever did :(
Been married to Drew one year next Sunday (27th June) and with him for 4 years prior to that!
Only seems like last week we got married and so much has happened in the past year, and it's gone crazy fast. We already had ups and downs, and I'm sure we will have many more!
My first wasn't much fun - but to be honest I didn't do too much to help the situation.
This time I'm much quicker to get things out in the open, rather than stewing on any snags we might have

First time i was very young, lasted 4 years.
Second time lasted 9 years and produced 3 great kids, unfortunately the 12 year age gap felt more like 30 years by the end.
Current relationship 2 years, we have some great times but it can be hardwork  not really going anywhere!! If he reads this it may well be gone :p

I first met Carol on line in about 2003, we chatted a little but were just friends and I was really not looking for anyone at that time and was really enjoying my freedom after my previous long relationship fell apart after nearly four years.
Then in 2007 I met a boy, but that lasted just under a year.
Finally, I met up with Carol again. This time we were both single, but she did not remember me (I did not realise I was that forgettable!). We moved in together during our first date in April 2008 and have been together since then. We got engaged on the first of October 2009, but we are planning a nice long engagement. Funny, never ever thought I would end up married to a woman! ;-)
As I type this (on the lap top while in bed) Carol is fast asleep snuggled in to me, she looks so sweet when she is asleep, my wonderful sleeping beauty.
Congratulations Bananaman and Mrs Bananaman, wishing you both a lot of happiness for your future too. :D

Thats why you gotta do everything you wanna do sooner rather than later because time goes very quickly.

Currently single. The last few relationships have lasted 4-5 months on average, partly due to me being so self centred and buggering off to the 'Ring/Spa/Zandvoort/Skiing etc by myself! No free weekends until mid Septamber, so little time to start a quality relationship at the moment.

cant you take the g/f with you??
Or meet in the middle - you do your thing while she does her thing then do things together lol

I've been single for 1 year next week.
Had been together for 3 1/2 years prior to that.

and before that it was an on/off for 3 1/2 years.

In both cases I was living 1hr+ away from the girls in question, so it was mainly weekend meet ups only. Hours in the car to Germany to hang round whilst I thrash a motorcycle round for hours on end for no logical reason and then hours back isn't always looked on as fun by girls! I took one to a track day and she enjoyed it, but I think it was more the novelty and the hotel and meal the night before....

Together 19 years and married for 15.
The thought of being single doesn't appeal to me. Maybe the thrill of meeting someone new, finding out who they really are, how they tick, feel, think and react. Enjoying new experiences and developing a deep and emotional bond. But I hate washing up and ironing almost as much as tidying up and laundery and I don't think I could fake sharing half the chores the first couple of years again :-) ;)

Another thing is comparing to the past, there have been 4 amazing ladies in my life, if a girl doesn't get near to one of them then I feel like I'm living a lie. As soon as I start to feel like this it tends to be the beginning of the end. Finger's crossed there's one more out there.
Lozzo - second time around is better :)
Don't be so sure about that.
Married first time round for 12 years. How in god's name I ever managed that long I'll never know. Especially considering she was German.
2nd time round was married for just short of 12 years. Took me about 4 years to decide enough was enough.
Never EVER again. I'm happy with the lady I am with and intend for it to stay that way.
Tim - you should find a lady who would maybe like to go on the track with you!! You might even find one who could give you a run for your money lol - if not, you could still share your passions x

Few and far between!
I don't care what a girl is passionate about, as long as it's something (and preferably not shoes/handbags, they're nice, but not that nice).

Mating thread? Only as long as there's a strict 'no photos' rule. I often read the .org after eating and wouldn't want to woof my cookies over the laptop after seeing things that are best done in the dark.

Noooo half the girls I know who are into bikes, go to track days. Most of the girls I know are either into cars or bikes (maybe cause I am so thats the only girls I meet??) But they are out there and plenty of them..

And don't be blinded by the idea you had for your perfect partner. I always wanted a tall, well built rugby player type bloke, into cars and outdoorsy stuff.
I dated two blokes like this, one here, one from the states, both ok but obviously didn't last. Then met a bloke who on a first date I had to pick him up as he only had a scooter and when I arrived he was wearing a hoodie??? That lasted a few years and was a very good relationship apart from him being a nob...I just didn't realise it at the time.
Then Stretchie moved in as a lodger. No where near the 6ft+ I wanted, not a massive rugby player type, not rough and ready...but it really didn't take me long to realise that I'd spent all these years thinking I knew what my perfect man was when....there he was in front of me.
I love you baby :-)

9 years together, 6 married. Poor girl, other than being French, she did nothing else to deserve it!
Was only together for 1 year almost to the day before getting Wed, i dont waste time do i ?
 Didn't get married that quick, our first year we lived 300 miles apart, but I don't understand these long engagements, I proposed in the January and we were married in the September. If it's a financial thing and you need to save up fair enough, but when people say they got engaged, but want to "live together a few more years" :-k Getting engaged means you have made the decision and want to stay together for life, not wear a ring for a few years with the intention of getting married one day, if it works out and your still together in a few years time  I've told all my younger cousins that I'm not buying engagement presents, but I'll get them a really nice wedding present, bought an engagement present for one of them three times now.
