Well bike did not sell on ebay, will now take £2750 for it, that's like taking £750 for bike having spent £2000 on extras not including labour.

Perhaps your price is a bit ambitious? I know that you have plenty of extras on the bike but at the end of the day it is a 4yr old bike (5yr old model) with 20k on the clock.
I wouldn't expect to get my money back on extras unless I sold them individually.
Just my observations.
Good luck with the sale though.

Yes but this bike with 20k on is in better mechanical condition than most others with less than half that mileage (oil and filter changed every 1500 to 2000 miles and any thing slightly suspect has been attended to), and surely a 2006 standard SV must be worth a couple of grand so this has got to be worth another £600 for all the work and extras that are on it, there is more on bike (like tail tidy etc) that I have not even mentioned in ad, plus spare micron end can and 90% of original parts, I know it's not dear at £2750 but also appreciate that it is only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it, also forgot to mention that I have a pair of 700 wiseco pistons to go with bike, was going to fit these as I did this with my last SV (curvy) but have found this pointy to be really quick as it is, thanks for comments, another thing I forgot to mention is I have single seat conversion for it including seat cover and exhaust bracket to replace pillion peg hanger.

i paid 2600 for a k5 06 plate naked with only 1000 miles on the clock.
with a nice scorpion can, belly pan, carbon hugger and seat cowle and and bewolf rad and oil gards.
you carnt really count for extras when selling a bike.

TO Hindle thats about the price I want for mine and to be honest your bike isn't in the same league as the one I am selling with regards to performance and the cosmetic extras, the end can is useless without the front pipes as it's the front pipes that restrict performance, I have a micron can that I will be giving away with bike all they do is make a better noise.

just my input but if i got a bike for 2600 which was basicly brand new not even run in at 1023 miles on the clock.
yours has got 20000.
i know which one i would take. if i was given the choice again.

yes sadly all this money and time spent on upgrades and tuning bits is a big turn off for the insurers. I bet there not aware of the mods.perhaps put it back to original and sell your custom bits seperate atb with your sale.
i would put it back to standard and sell separately mate, i got a 2007 sk6 sport with 6,000 miles for £2500 2-3 months ago with a full fuel system.
break the bits and get your money back for them mate, just think, would you buy a 'tuned' bike with that many speed extras there is a large possibility it has been ragged? not sayin yours has but you know what i mean.
good luck with the sales, i hope you get what you want for it
extra's sadly dont add much clout in selling, alot of people want standard bikes, so they can mod if they so chose...my mint 54 plate with 10,000 miles and loads of extra's...hasnt sold at £2k...full mot, just taxed, new tyres etc etc..
