Morning all!
I finally got my SV back on the road after. Long story short... moto-racing.co.uk supplied me with the wrong link(too narrow) for my new chain, which ended up breaking the new chain tool I'd bought to do the job :/ moto-racing maybe cheap, but their customer service is non-existant and they cost me more money GRRR!
Anyway, 4 days after it's back on the road it fails to start. One click, then no dash display at all. I had to recover the battery from virtually dead before the MOT, so I whipped it out to check and my charger reads 'green'. I plugged it back in and checked the connections on the relay and it starts up. I suspect this may have something to do with putting it on charge for a few minutes.
I did they head light test, by revving the engine, and they didn't get brighter. So I'm pretty sure it's the rec. But I have a multimeter on the way to do some more tests.
....to the point. This is the 2nd time the rec and battery have gone. This post (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=151988&highlight=battery+problems) mentions getting a replacement with a sense wire.
Does the original svk4 part not have a sense wire?
I'm pretty sure the CBR600RR part has a sense wire..will this fit the svk4?

Any input much appreciated.
Cheers
