Wimbledon now on BBC2
Record breaking match, currently in the 100th game of the 5th set and almost 9 hours on court.
History in the making here!

Holy hell! Thats a fair game of tennis
It is a terrible game of tennis, between two guys with big serves but little else.
Got to admire their desire not to lose though...
have there been any/many breaks of serve?

no Sarah. Sets 3 & 4 both went to tie break as well...don't think there have been any breaks in this 5th set. Only a few break points and a couple of match points, but both are just hammering out aces when teh pressure is on. Isner actually looks like he's properly fatigued.
Watching it now! They look shattered.

Mahout doesn't look too bad. But Isner is a tall man and looks on his last legs, but fair play to him....as V-man said on FB...he's pulling a Rocky Balboa here!
Isner is a flipping giant!!

Isner is a flippin giant of a man......10 hours of play exactly. I feel so sorry for Isner, he wanted to carry on play.

My auntie just said (despite the jokes from the comentators) that both players will probably be put on drips tonight to replenish fluids as oral replenishment will not be sufficient for play tomorrow!
Poor buggars!

Same here, poor beggar! Really wanted to hug him
Absolutely astounding match, I was holding my breath for so many shots, especially that last match point! Watched a bit of it last night, couldn't believe my eyes when I came back from work and the last set was in it's 80th game! Tennis doesn't get any better than that, just hope Isner can pull it out the bag tomorrow, didn't much like Mahut although can't knock him for energy levels! Did anyone notice him slipping in tablet or few along the way....probably dextrose but how can we be sure....?

They get drugs tested as a matter of course now I think...if not then definitely randomly and it's not worth the risk.
Normally I hate play when it's just a power game of servers as there's little action, however as this has got to this stage, it really is nailbiting.

I couldn't bear to watch tbh, I went to bed as they hit the 9 hour mark.
And it will just keep going until one of them manages to get far enough ahead? There's something fundamentally wrong with the rules if this sort of thing can happen, IMHO. It was grotesque that it continued that long AND that it will continue later today.
And the game has only just finished!
SPOILER...
Isner wins 70-68!

I am so glad he won as I was really rooting for him, but I felt so so sorry for Mahout.
I think it was a very nice touch to have the presentation and awards though for the players and umpire.
You'll never ever see a match like that again!
Not a bad thing as I prefer rallies to serving battles, but still.....was good to be witness to it. :-)
Poor sod Isner has to play a doubles match right now AND has his 2nd round match tomorrow!!!
