Oh, they know when you're about to leave them. When we get ready to go out, we always let them out the back or front and they normally come running in when we call. Not when they know they're being left though. They walk in all skulky and give us dirty looks...lol

Jasper does nothing. He has the life of Reilly.
He sleeps, eats and does his doggy business.
An occasional bark if you try to leave the house without him. And a lot of barking if that nasty man with the orange waistcoat attempts to put anything in the letterbox.
Beyond that, he enjoys watching football on TV and a half of bitter when I am feeling generous.
Edit and a big welcome home whenever you walk through the door

Took Red to my brother's last night. He always gets cross with me whenever his bed goes in the car, he knows he is getting parked while I bugger off. He did look sad as I drove off last night, even though he will be spoilt at my brother's. :(

I know, but being a Jack Russell he is not big enough for a man size drink.
And he gets P1ssed too quick
Tim - we had a dog called Jasper too - not a jack russell though - but also liked bitter an guiness - love your dog already!

My twin Bro has also got a jack from the same litter, called Casper. When they get together and go mad, neither respond to either name

Rowan (Red's dad) could open doors with knobs, but he never left the house, just opened doors so he could lie where he wanted! The scratch marks around the door knobs remind me of him every day. Ohhh feeling a bit melancholy now! :(
He! He! Also remember he could get into the kitchen bin silently and without knocking it over, so if there was a smell too tempting the bin would be raided by a doggy Ninja who looked all innocent when you found it. Red always looked guilty when this happened because he was a witness. Rowan always got scolded, but he still used his Ninja powers next time there was a bit of pie in the bin...

Awww Mike...:grouphug:
Went to mum and dads on fathers day and they had a big blown up picture of Hollie (the first Hollie) who was our dog when I was a child. I remember us choosing her from the litter as she was the only one that didn't have a white tip on her tail. It gave me a bit of a pang seeing her picture on the mantlepiece and I am feeling a bit of a lump developing in my throat now.
Me and Dan sometimes have random thoughts about when our lot and when they go.....it's heartbreaking just thinking about the fact that they won't always be around. When Stig goes, it'll be like losing a part of me.
