Why oh why do the new radiators have to be made of ally and plastic? repairing it is almost impossible.you can't solder ally and finding a proper resin is proving difficult. The replacement cost of a new one is silly money£400 for a stupid little radiator.

ermmm i think you can use normal/silver soldier on ally. you just need to use one of those little gas torches. it wont solider if you are trying to use an iron as it wont get enough heat into the area you want to soldier. its a tricky one as ally is hard one minuet then liquid the next.

just take it to your nearest ally fabricator they will usually do it for the price of a pint.

DON'T get me started on radiators DT:smt092
Told ya they were a pain in the 'arris. SO are rad hoses that are squished by ill designed R&G crash bobbins...but I'm clever and have 'moddified' them :p

Update--------
At the time of posting I didn't know you could get ally solder. It only requires the minimum of heat.
Soldered,taken for a pressure test,2lts coolant--------£25
A sight cheaper than the £360+vat for a new rad

'Liquid metal' can work on radiators as well.
