Just changed the chain and sprockets on my SV650Sport. Fitted a scottoiler just after xmas but I think two winters had it's toll on the chain. Sprockets were in good nick but two many tight spots on the chain that I couldn't get loose. So better to be safe than sorry.
I ordered the kit for the SV650 as I knew the rear sprocket was 45teeth. So I naturally opted for the 15/45 with the 110 link chain. I had heard talk of the rear swingarm being shorter but wasn't sure of the impact. Well it turned out the the OEM chain was 108 links. No big issue as I just removed the extra.
I did have trouble finding anywhere listing the chain for the K8 Sport onwards. So just for your reference, mine was 15/45 with 108 link chain 525 pitch.
