all three of the rideout security posse are back home safe. Getting the Shadows bike going was no trouble and we were ready for it after manhandling our junkie intruder off site at 4am. We had spotted the light left on and I had the cables. Great weekend my friends. See you soon.

Many thanks to GMIII organisers for a brill run out yesterday, and arranging for the sun to shine on us. A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes and many of us appreciate the time and effort that it took get things running very smoothly.
There were a few "highs and lows" yesterday but thankfully no orgers were hurt in the process. Myself and IP will be camp site security for future GM's

Glad to hear everyone was safe. I passed the campsite on my way to Fort William and it looked cool. Seen tonnes of bikes on Sat was a pleasure to see.

Just to echo the thanks to those that put so much effort into organising the weekend.

Home 5 mins short of 9 hours, although that included 6 stops, must work on getting fitter, the last of which was for 20 mins 10 miles from home.

Great to put faces to names, and the company was great with some excellent craic.

Hopefully see you again at the AR.

Cheers,

Bri

Not quite that bad but I know what you mean. Just had a few hours kip. Bri- better safe and slower than fast and damaged. Nice to meet you.

The Penguins are home safely 500 miles 8 hours exactly.

Thanks to the organisers for a great weekend.

Thanks to the Top Box crackers for solving my issue - shoe lace still working.

And finally a BIG THANKS to Quedos for adopting Penguins for the week.

A big thanks to everyone :smt038

Got back at four, 1025 mile round trip, and that was with just blasting down the motorway after Tony insisted that we follow the sat nav on the starship enterprise.

Well done everyone! Great show... Well, apart from people who don't know their left from right eh :smt017 But any rideout you walk away from is a good one. Sorry I couldn't stick around til the end, seemed like things were just humming along nicely.

(I got so many midges on my visor just getting down to Tarbet I had to stop and clean it, then again and the headlights when I got down to the Erskine Bridge, couldn't see a damn thing... I swear they were worse than 2 years ago.)

Yeah, damn those persistent buggers. The Drovers on Friday night was like a scene from an old Hitchcock movie... "They Bite At Nite"... or sumthin. A frightening tale of beers, bears, wolves, cougars, freshwater crocs, Quiffy crocs ;) and midges.

I saw it on the TCM channel, I'm sure I did. :?

Regarding GM4,
Can we get dates fixed......
June 2011
W/E 3rd,4th,5th.
10th,11th,12th
17th,18th,19th
24th,25th,26th
My preference would be the last weekend in june,as it was this year.
I need to book time off work well in advance.

This definitely is well in advance.

But I'd be happy with 24th-26th

Run a poll ;)

I vote december, to beat the midges. But the roads'll be a bit slippy so instead of having a rideout, we'll just go to the pub and drink til we puke. Who's game?

We got back around 3pm yesterday. 2,400 miles of mostly fantastic roads (M-ways excepted). Virtually trouble free barring the starting problem, which wasn't really a problem anyway.

Yet again didn't get around to meeting everyone, so next time maybe.

Everything went really well I thought. Good that there was some backup when SB was unable to lead and because there were Marshalls to help with breakdowns, there weren't actually any. Were there?

Big thanks to Quedos and Indy Photo-ey for sorting it all and also thanks to those who ensured it ran smoothly.

Me and Wendy got home on Thursday and I've spent the last 4 days trying to get an awesome weeks worth of bug splats of the front of my trusty steed (the bike not Wendy).

Thanks to all concerned with organising etc.

After 3 nights at Beinglas we headed up to Applecross for 3 nights in a camping hut which was ace. Had the company of LuckyPants and SpeedyClaire while enjoying the food and drink of the Applecross Inn..... Thanks guys.

I'm currently trying to sort out the 82,233 photos that Wendy took. Will post them ASAP.

Roll on the next road trip.

Take care.

I got home yesterday evening, was a wonderful holiday and thanks to everyone involved in the organisation and running of GMIII. Applecross was fantastic and ditto Fred and Wendy... it was great to have your company. Such stunning scenery and fantastic roads.

I`m currently looking to buy a contemporary propery on the shores of Loch anywhere affording me spectacular views and the latest in midgey repellant devices :D
