Completely new to the whole motorbike game - so forgive my ignorance.
Just taken the wingmirrors off my sv as im putting bar end mirrors on. There's obviously now the holes left where the originals screw in. Is there anything you can get to specifically screw in and plug up these holes?

Thanks

You could try a blanking grommet or a button head allen bolt both on ebay for cheap. i dont know of anything specific but the mighty org minds might :)

Just dont look at the holes. If you cant see them, they arent there. Cheapest and quickest mod I can think of.

But what if they get water in them and they turn into really tiny puddles and birds start trying to drink from them when I'm riding?

Whats wrong with the mirrors anyway?
Why change them ?

Personal preference. I prefer the aesthetics of the bar ends.

Thats not a problem, you will make friends with them and you always need a friend!

Nothing specific . your best bet may be to get the remnants of someone who has broken their mirrors, remove the snapped rod and pivot pin, that would just leave the base part, not perfect but... think the mirrors also act as fixings for the front fairing iirc

What if they're not very friendly birds? Surely this is more risk than it's worth?

12 hours ago I'd have said they were ideal for putting your St George's flags
Now just put your old chewing gum there.
