I stuck a tank pad to my tank about a year ago, it is now starting to come unstuck in some places, is their a suitable glue available to stick it back down with that wont damage the paintwork or do any other long term damage?

Not really. Take it off and replace it. WD40 the old glue off, and make sure you've washed it off well after.
Although the rubber ronnie ones are brilliant(my personal fave), they never stay stuck for long enough. I just had to replace mine with the free one off Fast bikes, and that things glued solid in the old ones place.

Shame, its fine apart from a few edges coming unstuck.
You could try writing a nice letter to 3M who make the adhesives for most tank pads, asking for a free sample. Worked for me!:D

When you wrote to them did you mention your tankpad was coming unstuck or did you just ask for a sample?
I looked around and worked out the name of the adhesives used, and explained that I wanted to purchase a small amount to fix a peeling sticker on my bike, but i could only find vendors selling the stuff by the truckload. Could they advise me where I could purchase a smaller quantity. A very nice person from 3M then sent me a handfull of free samples! 3M300LSE is the adhesive. Good luck!:p
