Day3 - our return leg wasn't without incident either.

Spent all my time getting the waterproofs on and off.
Campsite - rain. Waterproofs on.
Tyndrum - sunnyish. Waterproofs off.
Glencoe - scorching, glorious, gorgeous scenery. Set up video. :D
Ballachuillish - emergency waterproofs-on stop. Pack away video. :(
Fort William - torrential. 30mph for 15miles, sore on any bike.
Leaving FtWm, see an electronic sign road closed ahead (due to a fatality), diversion in place. We can gamble to push on or divert and hope to catch the last Mallaig ferry. Hmm, the lovely twisty Mallaig road is too good to miss. We catch it by 3mins, and fill the last spaces. Phew!

The Combats had a cool GM3 and a cool Applecross2.

Weather good, company excellent, roads ace and everything in between well worth it.

I've got Wendy's 80+K pics down to a couple of thousand. I've spent hours photobucketing and my eyes hurt, so click the link, take a look and make sure you sit on your ar*e to the very bl**dy end or there'll be trouble.

But if the new automated petrol station is having teething problems like when I arrived having done 35miles on reserve (so I could fill up there), you'll be cool. The pub owner made a phone call and got me fuel. Some of the friendly locals have jerry cans just in case. I met the village shop owner and he gave me 18 litres for £15. Says that's what he paid for it! When? 1998?

And sometimes even the rich tourists staying in the big fancy luxury caravans can be great too!

The Bealach na' Ba is not that bad, I'm sure you will be fine. Just go do it! If you are not confident you can tackle it on the day, take the road to Sheildaig and the coast road to Applecross, it's just as stunning but not so challenging.
