Newbie, so please be patient.
I was on the motorway today, outside lane @ 80mph, 6000revs and suddenly my engine cut out completely!!! I coasted her onto the hard shoulder and tried to restart-but nothing. The starter motor sounds like it's trying to tick over but not engaging.
I jumped off, took the keys with me and called the RAC.
I went back, turned ignition on, pressed fob for imobiliser but no usual flash of indicator, tried to start and the same noise, ticktickticktick, from the starter motor.
RAC fella arrived checked fuses, ended up bypassing the battery feed to the starter motor and it started up no probs. Turned off, tried again the usual way and ticktickticktick!! long and short of it- got the bike home- he looked at it for another 50 minutes and still couldn't resolve it. Said Google was my best bet- I thought you guys were my best bet- hence my post-
Anybody have a clue or similar experience. This dude was well into his bikes but was Conpuzzled.
