Anyone know what the mobile reception there is like? (Vodafone)
I feel very uncomfortable/cut off without mobile reception, as I'm on call 24/7 from work (own business etc), I can normally sort small issues over the phone.
Thankies.

Looks promising but...
I know of 2 client sites I visit regularly which gives 0 reception and on that site it says it shold have good coverage, so I'm a little doubtful as to the accuracy!

Well, I'm up that way this weekend, if I remember I will take my work phone which is on Voda and see what it's like at the site for you, if I remember that is

Not a problem if there is no reception, would just like to know so I can warn my key clients.

Is there nobody that could cover for you or that you trust to cover.
IIRC the reception is OK there, I certainly dont recall it being a problem when I went with the others to reccie the site, But Gruntygiggles or Stretchie will be better placed to answer the question as they've stayed there before.

I do have an arrangement with a friend of mine in the same industry, but I am yet to know if he will be available. Afterall I only decided to come about an hour ago!
Only thing is, like when I annonced by unavailability for my DAS course/test several times, people still tried to call me and leave countless voicemails. This is after explicitly telling them I would NOT be able to answer becuase Id be on a frickin bike.
Awkward I know, but them clients pay my bills ;)

I don't remember a problem but then we are both on Orange and to be honest when I'm off for the weekend I tend to normally ignore my phone anyway.
Will do my damndest to remember

Couldn't ask the staff as there was a wedding in the Hotel, but I'll email to ask tomorrow :-)
If your desperate I could always let you use the phone in my hotel room for a fee.

Haha, cheers Stig, but I wouldnt know they needed calling if they cant tell me there is a problem!
Plus Hotel call charges are stupid. Last month at the Belfry in Birmingham, spent a total of 8 mins on the phone (landline), bill came to £13.50. I can see where they make their money!

Orange signal throughout the whole field was fine. So shouldn't be an issue there.
