On this day in 1935 - Oklahoma City became the first city in the U.S. to make use of parking meters.

Spooky no?

So as far as I can tell we'll be at Frith St until we're moved up to Soho Square pending a new home being decided. Who feels like a quick coffee and a ride up the road while trying not to spill it?

'fraid that I can't make it tonight, as I have some important drinking to do.

Gonna try. If we get moved on early I might go to The Ace and park up and relax with a coffee.

Looks like the Test will end today so I'll be heading home for some rest. It's been a long week.

so today, we worked out that the new frith st is fith st. And parking up in front of the Gormet burger place has other advantages for hungry souls :)

Say what what? What's the score?

Paul got moved on by 5:30pm when he was the only bike, so parked up in front of the cars on the other side of Frith St, further up the road. As soon as one of the cars moved out of the bays we slotted the bikes into it. As the bays are free to use after 6:30pm we were left alone by the Traffic wardens all night, though they felt less inclined to move on the police, and pedal cabs that occupied our normal spot.

If I get there first on foot does that mean I have to lay in the road in the bay to save the space for the bikes? And am I now redundant as coffee carrier?

You could always do what Martin did, for Mark - who didn't come back...
Stand in the bay and when somebody tried to park he said it had been reserved.....:smt014

Why don't we all turn up one week dressed as traffic wardens?

I was think more of Treacle and Jamie dressing like that - and Jambo definitely has the legs for it.

I won't pretend there aren't photos of me in a skirt. But unlike some of my mates i look a bit rough as I didn't take the time out to shave / wax my legs...
