Hi everyone I have been milling around for the last few weeks. Well tomorrow I will be picking up my sv650s 02 plate. Just my luck the weather has turned wet and the bike has new tires. So if I manage to get back from peterbrough alive I hope to be active more on hear and maybe meet for a ride sometime.

Yes it is!!!!
That was my boyfriends, a few folks should recognise it cos he did a few rideouts on it including AR09 :-) He traded it in for a zx6r a month ago.
Its a sound bike, you shouldn't have any trouble with it. It needed c&s and tyres, sounds like the tyres have been done, check the chain. The hugger and fairing lowers were only put on at the start of the year, he spent loads on it then traded it in, doh!!! But he kept it in my garage so its in pretty good condition.

That's good to know I think the chain was done. Seems ok to me just need to get use to it. What work had he done?

Mainly just the plastics (£400 for genuine suzuki lowers and about £100 for the hugger), it was due a service so make sure the shop did it, otherwise it could do with oil change and air filter. The chain was quite rusty so it'll be easy to tell if its been replaced. He changed the top yoke protector, grips and bar ends too. He only put a couple of thousand miles on it in the time he had it and only got rid of it to move up to a full on sports bike, it never put a foot wrong, has never been sworn at, everytime my sv refused to start his would fire up no problem, used to annoy the hell out of me!!:p
The only thing i recommend is that you put a fender extender on if youre going to be taking it out in the wet, standard sv stuff!!
Its never had the valve clearances checked or carbs balanced either so if they havent been done by the shop you'll want to think about that soon.
Overall a very sound bike, certainly been treated well by us, kept clean and ridden sensibly.
I hope you enjoy it, and we see you out on it sometime :-)

Nice choice on the K2. They are the quickestist of all time.

Ah, poor attempts at comedy, the pointy riders defence mechanism.
I'm still yet to see proof to tell me otherwise to. ;)

Neh.
The K1 is slow as anything. All in my mind though.
I suggest you get a K2 and see the wonders a grime bike can do for you.

Blue pointy S & perfectly happy with that set up so don't care whether it's the fastest, loudest or prettiest. To be fair any bikes gonna lose a few mph from it's top speed with my cuddly frame on board anyway ;)
