View Full Version : Falco tyre pressures?

Hi,
I've recently fitted Pirelli Angels to the Falco. The book and tyre place said to put 33/36psi in them. At more or less a friend of mine fitted these to his 600rr, and put 36/42 in them according to his manual.

After some riding I wasn't complaining about the tyres, but I've noticed that the rear is starting to fish tail a little bit with the bike cranked over at about 70mhp. I've also noticed that I have no chicken strips (new for me).

Apparently, Pirelli are advising to put 36/42psi on the Aprilias, the lack of chicken strips was explained to me that the tyre wasn't inflated properly. After I've upped the pressure to the latter one, the bike felt more stable, easier to lean and a strip appeared on the rear tyre.

I'm confused as to which pressures should be used: the ones in the manual, the ones from Pirelli, or just whatever feels good?

Cheers

Go by the manufacturer of the tyre.

Whatever feels good and gets clean wear on tyres.
