it depends on what you like, i loved the very first one and this was a let down...... but its challenging and requires you think up strategy's before you do things and command your squad so in that respect its still good......... but saying that i got stuck on the oil depo mission and got in a real huff so not played it since :lol:

i only paid £15 for mine, was pre owned from game...... wouldnt pay full whack for it

mw2 is nice looking currently playing it at a snails pace..found mw1 better story line. I dont think its a very long game.

BC2 is a better than MW2 on PC but on the xbox it looks awful so I would properly go with MW2 over BC2 just for this reason. Flashpoint was just a failure and has more bugs than a rain forest. .
The easy option is get your xbox flashed buy the games for 5 quid each try them all and when you make your mind up which is worth supporting go buy the original so the developer doesn't lose out. easy this way you don't end up up-to 45 quid out of pocket for pi$s poor games that after 5 weeks get dropped to 22 quid brand new because they are w4nk.

Problem with that is Xbox Live, I assume a flashed box would mean instant ban?

I just borrowed Crackdown from a mate to tide me over till Reach comes out, having just finished red dead. Now that WAS a good game!

Nah its not an instant ban, Microsoft do a ban hammer around once a year and ban all consoles that have been flagged.
Most of the time you get flagged for playing games before they are released or for playing a dodgy copy which hasn't been stealth patched correctly. you cant stealth patch a game until its officially been released as you don't have the correct verified security files hence why you get banned if you play before release date.
Iv been using the same console for three years and not been banned, i have had a console banned but that was because i played MW2 before it was released,
Think of it like this yeah.....
A second hand console can be picked up for as little as 60-80 quid.
A banned xbox will sell for 40-50 quid you are out of pocket by 30 quid if you get banned once a year which shouldnt happen if you get your games from someone who knows what they are doing.
so to me its worth it even if i do get banned once a year as i have every game that's been released that year
which would normally cost over a grand more than likely.
I can sell the banned xbox for 50 quid and then go buy a another second hand one for 80 quid..... simples.
i have got 3 xbox's in my house one is over 3 years old and 2 are nearly over 2 years old, all flashed and been playing backup games for along time. i do my own games so i know that they are done correctly.
if you go down market and get games off some fella they will not be stealth patched as this is a lengthy process and will get your console flagged for banning .

Yeah but the one thing that lets it down is kill cam which is crap if you want to play as a sniper and you can't go prone again because of sniping, so you have to hide in bushes because you have stand up, all very well but when you call mortor strikes you end up targetting a leaf and the bush your hiding in gets bombed, its forking annoying :lol:. i still think bf2 i better than bc2

Yup ill admits that although its funny the first time you do end up wanting to break the controller as it hapens a few times.
But Tanks, Helos, truck,s Anti aircraft weapons... testosterone fuel to the maxibon.

Don't get Flashpoint, it's a complete load of crap. They rendered the huge island, created all those vehicles and weapons... and you don't even get to use 10% of them in the course of the single player campaign. Every single mission is go here, blow these things up, against a time limit. You never get to drive a tank or fly a helicopter. The AI is broken, the campaign is short, the multiplayer boring. That's why it got poor reviews, and why fans of the PC original (like me) shunned it and Codemasters. ArmA2 is much, much better, but it's PC only.

TBH I'd say either BC2 or MW2, though I've played both to death and am sick of both of them. Forza 3 is good but the career mode is annoying and there are just so many events... to beat them all would take like 250 hours.

Red dead is truly brilliant. Lasso a hooker. Tie her to the train tracks and squish. Fun.

Red Dead has a bit too much of long periods staring at a horse's bum/wagon going past listening to increasingly dreary dialogue as you travel halfway across the map. The multiplayer stuff (the co-op missions) are fun for a while and the world itself is absolutely mesmerizing in how well they've put it all together (tapping 'B' to greet people is a great touch) but it's a bit like GTA in that you wonder why the hell Marston puts up with all the crap from the other characters.
