i saw it on the news this morning. My dad sent me a text a couple of weeks ago saying that the netherlands had bought out a fire motorbike. Atleast in the neatherlands they were actually red. Personally i think it is a good idea. Saves use all paying the bill for 5 firefighters plus the fire engine when you have have a single person on a bike to put out a car/bin fire. 6month trial in mersyside first. Hope the do bring them out though. I want one :D !!!

Do you suppose they can use the water jet to jump over things like in Mario Sunshine?

its a good idea, not sure on the safety aspect with only having the one person there unless a car/bike follows, plus the yob factor might be a bit intimidating especially if its at night!
Have they done the same with a car? Might last a lot longer plus you can take more fire-fighters, or is it aimed more at being a quick response vehicle?

Then one day someone clever will come up with the idea that you send a fire engine to a fire.
